Slide rules HOME page | COLLECTION | 10" RULES | UNITED KINGDOM |
Make | Unique, UK | |
Model | Electrical | |
Notes 1. This rule was intended for electrical calculations. It has two scales of temperature, used to calculate the variation in electrical resistance with temperature. Apart from that the scales are standard and the "electrical" comes from the special gauge marks. 2. It is also interesting to look at the image above where the labels, to the left, appear to have been scratched on by hand. However in the book "Teach Yourself the Slide Rule", whose author was associated with the Unique company, the diagrams also show crudely written labels! 3. Instructions for use can be found here. |
