Slide rules HOME page COLLECTION 10" RULES UNITED KINGDOM
Make Unique, United Kingdom
Model "Brighton"
Notes

1. This rule was named after the town at which Unique rules were made.
2. The rule was produced to the specification required for continental distributors, according to the managing director of the Unique company in his book "Teach Yourself the Slide Rule".
3. Two differences between this rule and other Unique rules were:

  • There was centimetre measuring scale (normally they had no measuring sale).
  • It had scales on the lower edge.

4. Its scale complement is identical to the Faber Castell 1/54 which also had its trig scales on the bottom edge. The only difference in placement is the log scale, which is above the P scale on the Unique and on the upper edge on the Faber Castell.
